MasterWeld 5556 is an aluminium TIG Filler rod that has good ductility and improved crack resistance due to the content of manganese, magnesium and zinc.
With the magnesium content of 5% minimum this high strength alloy is used mainly on marine castings and fabrication.
Base materials to be welded
Commonly used on base metals 5154, 5254, 5454 and 5456.
