3M Speedglas Inner Cover Plate (+1 Shade), 428020 is designed for 3M Speedglas Welding Filter Series 100 and 9002D/9002V filters. Our inner cover plate can be used to increase +1 dark shade of the welding filter and replaces worn or damaged parts.
Welding at very high amperages can create such an intense weld pool that you may feel eye strain, even when using a dark shade selection. With 3M Speedglas Inner Cover Plate +1 shade, 428020, you can replace the standard (clear) inner protection plate to increase by +1 the dark shade of the 3M Speedglas Welding Filter Series 100 and 9002D/9002V filters. Our 42 mm x 91 mm inner cover plate replaces worn or damaged parts and ensures you maintain the correct level of comfort and protection when your original plate becomes deeply pitted, scratched or too dirty to clean with a soft cloth. Make it a habit to regularly clean the cover plate with a soft cloth and replace if any pits or scratches occur. Failure to use an inside protection plate with the filter voids the warranty if spark or spatter cause damage to the glass.
